About Me

I have experience providing therapy and coaching for individuals, families, communities, and organizational groups. I have advised, managed, and solved problems, utilizing my psychological, philosophical, and theological knowledge and professional skills. Also, I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Chile. Above all, my work focuses on mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, behavioral disorders, and spiritual struggles. I offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Italian.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, certified clinical trauma professional, certified dialectic behavioral therapist, and Beck Institute certified cognitive behavioral therapist.

I obtained my master’s degree in psychology and mental health counseling, as well as certification in spiritual direction from Divine Mercy University in Virginia. I also have experience in philosophy and theology, earning my master’s degree in theology and a license in clinical psychology in Santiago de Chile.

About Me

I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maryland. I have over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings. I’ve worked with individuals in their homes and schools who are at high risk for school failure, placements, or hospitalization. I have assisted individuals and families resolve personal and environmental problems which prevent them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning.

I’m well-versed in several counseling techniques, including but not limited to psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, REBT, and mindfulness interventions. I have experience working with a wide range of diagnosis, with an emphasis in treatment of anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I have a compassionate approachable demeanor and take a client-centered approach. I am dedicated to my clients and care greatly for their growth and desired change. About Dr. Hileman

Dr. Sasha Hileman is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Maryland who specializes in individual, family, and group psychotherapy with children and adolescents with a wide range of behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Hileman completed her predoctoral internship at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA), where she received advanced training in comprehensive psychoeducational assessment and evidence-based psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and their families.

In her clinical work, Dr. Hileman specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional behaviors and academic/school related difficulties.

Dr. Hileman utilizes a multidisciplinary, integrated approach to both assessment and treatment. She employs evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. In addition, Dr. Hileman provides parent education and works collaboratively with families to provide caregivers with support and skills to assist in their child’s treatment. She has experience conducting school consultation that assists teachers, parents, and administrators to help improve students’ learning experiences.

With regard to psychological assessment, Dr. Hileman specializes in providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations that include measuring cognitive, academic, social-emotional, memory, attention, and other neuropsychological abilities. Dr. Hileman’s psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments include tailored recommendations that are discussed shortly after the assessment and come with a comprehensive report that is written with parents, future mental health care providers, and schools in mind. Dr. Hileman has worked with teachers/schools throughout her training to create Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Dr. Hileman is trained and certified on the ADOS-2 and has ample experience diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities in young children.

About Dr. Pereira (she/her/ella)

Dr. Pereira received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington D.C. She provides psychotherapy and assessment services in both English and Spanish to children, adolescents, and adults with diverse backgrounds and needs. She has worked with pre-school and school-age children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children – CSAAC), conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations of adolescents (D.C. Superior Court Child Guidance Clinic, assessment track), and provided individual therapy to adults experiencing depression, anxiety and interpersonal difficulties (Aspire – Mobile Med Collaborative and Community Counseling and Mentoring Services, Inc).

I strongly believe in the uniqueness of each individual, which is why I prefer to use an integrative approach to therapy. Based on an individual’s or family’s needs, I tailor a custom treatment plan utilizing cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems techniques. About Me

Hello there! I am Martina, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and an Approved Supervisor by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors but you may also think of me as a highly empathetic individual who is very passionate about her work in helping others. My practice is rooted in the belief that we are all worthy of acceptance and love. I believe in living meaningful and fulfilling lives with less emphasis on perfection and more emphasis on living in congruency with our values. My aim is to be a listening ear, a collaborative guide, and compassionate support as we navigate the current challenges that bring you to therapy.

What you can expect in working with me:

Life is beautiful AND complex. Different, unavoidable, and unpredictable challenges come up in life that can make us feel overwhelmed and alone. In therapy you can show up exactly as you are and exactly as you feel and we will sit with it and through it. My approach is warm and client centered. Sometimes I will ask a lot of questions to encourage reflection, sometimes we will work on exploring different perspectives, and sometimes we will sit in silence. All will be done in a warm, safe, and comfortable space.

My Theoretical Approach:

My primary approach is Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT) and my secondary approach is Interpersonal Therapy. With CBT we will work in looking at your current thoughts and behaviors and to find the dissonance between where you are and where you want to be. Together we will work to bridge the gap and get you closer to your ideal self.


