About Me

I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maryland. I have over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings. I’ve worked with individuals in their homes and schools who are at high risk for school failure, placements, or hospitalization. I have assisted individuals and families resolve personal and environmental problems which prevent them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning.

I’m well-versed in several counseling techniques, including but not limited to psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, REBT, and mindfulness interventions. I have experience working with a wide range of diagnosis, with an emphasis in treatment of anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I have a compassionate approachable demeanor and take a client-centered approach. I am dedicated to my clients and care greatly for their growth and desired change. Therapy does not have to be intimidating or anxiety-provoking. It can instead be an interactive, thought-provoking, learning experience.

        About Me

I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland with a specialization in Behavioral Health. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland. I recognize that being human is difficult, and it is especially difficult when one feels alone in facing their challenges or uncertain about how to overcome them.

I am passionate about supporting individuals in feeling understood, supported and empowered towards creating positive changes in their life. Rather than taking an “expert” stance, I aim to achieve a collaborative connection with clients in which ongoing feedback is encouraged. I understand that many problems are multifaceted and strive to support clients in developing comprehensive solutions.

I believe treatment should be fitted to the individual and am versatile in my approach. I draw from a variety of interventions, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I recognize that client needs and preferences may change over time and am willing to modify my approach as necessary.
