About Iris (she/her/hers)

Iris received her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland. Her focus is on mood disorders, women’s issues, and trauma. She approaches therapy with a culturally sensitive, client-centered, and strength-based perspective, believing that counseling is a collaborative journey.

Understanding that each person is unique, Iris tailors her approach to meet clients where they are and honor their individual therapy journeys. She provides services for all age groups.

Iris employs a variety of interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Her goal is to create a space where clients can confidently express themselves and find their path forward.
