About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with children and individuals. I apply a person-centered approach aimed at providing empathy and understanding first and foremost during therapy. As a therapist, I think that context and culture are exceptionally important when it comes to diagnosing and proceeding through therapy. There is a place for each theory and approach and as such I will work with the client to find what works best for them. I have incorporated psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, emotion focused, and reality-based models when working with clients. My areas of interest include working with clients through family/couple dysfunction, depression, trauma processing, managing life changes, and anxiety.

I graduated from Wright State University with a Master of Science in Clinician Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Transylvania University. Previously I worked in community mental health in Ohio where I also worked at a domestic violence shelter while I finished my education.

      About Me

Navigating through life’s complexities can often feel like being lost in a fog, and in today’s fast-paced society, stress can quickly become overwhelming. As a therapist with over a decade of experience in mental health across various levels, I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and teens discover and tap into their strengths, enabling a focused approach to enhance their mental well-being. My commitment extends to assisting clients in managing a range of emotional challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.

I employ a diverse array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of each client. My toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. These approaches help clients develop coping strategies that promote resilience and personal growth. Additionally, my practice is enriched by my completion of Gottman Level 1 training, which equips me to support couples in navigating their relationships through improved communication and understanding.

Therapy, as I view it, is a journey of exploration and healing. I strive to create a safe and open environment where individuals, couples, and teens can freely express themselves and work towards achieving their therapeutic goals. My passion for mental health drives my practice, and I am motivated by the profound impact positive change can have on the lives of those I work with. Together, we will navigate the challenges of life, clearing the fog and moving towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
