Dr. Pamela Lubing received her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialty in children and adolescents, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. She is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Maryland, who specializes in individual and family psychotherapy. Dr. Lubing completed her doctoral internship at Youth Consultation Services, Helen May Strauss Clinic in East Orange, NJ. She has received advanced training in individual and family therapy with children and adolescents, dyadic (parent-child) therapy with mothers and their infants/toddlers, and group therapy for preschoolers and adults.

In her clinical work, Dr. Lubing specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional behaviors, trauma, family difficulties, and academic/school related problems. Dr. Lubing utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and systemic interventions through play and talk therapy. As a clinician, it is important for her to utilize the strengths of each client to help him or her to reach their full potential. She aims to explore the distress the client is experiencing, increase self-awareness, and learn coping skills to help each person be successful in their day-to-day life.

                  Client Feedback

My session with Pam today was especially helpful. I have a granddaughter going through a gender crisis. Pam explained and helped answer a lot of my questions. As she pointed out, we might not get the answers we’re looking for. But, as long as we offer them unconditional love and acceptance we don’t have to fully understand. We just have to be there for them without judgement.

Dr. Pam had helped me so much! When talking to other people about their therapeutic process, I can see how her approach helps me make lasting changes so I can work towards being self-reliant. I always recommend [OMH’s] practice to anyone looking for therapy help.
