About Me

Navigating through life’s complexities can often feel like being lost in a fog, and in today’s fast-paced society, stress can quickly become overwhelming. As a therapist with over a decade of experience in mental health across various levels, I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and teens discover and tap into their strengths, enabling a focused approach to enhance their mental well-being. My commitment extends to assisting clients in managing a range of emotional challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.

I employ a diverse array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of each client. My toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. These approaches help clients develop coping strategies that promote resilience and personal growth. Additionally, my practice is enriched by my completion of Gottman Level 1 training, which equips me to support couples in navigating their relationships through improved communication and understanding.

Therapy, as I view it, is a journey of exploration and healing. I strive to create a safe and open environment where individuals, couples, and teens can freely express themselves and work towards achieving their therapeutic goals. My passion for mental health drives my practice, and I am motivated by the profound impact positive change can have on the lives of those I work with. Together, we will navigate the challenges of life, clearing the fog and moving towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.

    About Me

Hello, I am Caiwei Tang. Thank you for reading my profile and considering me as your counselor. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland, offering bilingual counseling services in English and Mandarin.

I provide virtual therapy to adults throughout Maryland. My practice focuses on supporting individuals dealing with mood disorders, women’s issues, and trauma. I take a culturally sensitive, client-centered, and strength-based approach, tailoring each session to meet you where you are. You are unique, and so is your path to healing. My practice is rooted in a humanistic approach, emphasizing deep listening and a secure therapeutic relationship.

I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll work toward creating a space where you can confidently express yourself and find your way forward.
