About Me

Lorri King is a dual board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Lorri has been a Registered Nurse since 1997. She graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Nursing and worked in the hospital/acute care setting until 2004 when she returned to school for her Master’s in Nursing. In 2007 she became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

In her time as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she found her true calling by realizing that many patients were dealing with both physical and mental health issues. About Me

You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or a major life transition. Perhaps you’re finding it difficult to manage your emotions, relationships, or the demands of everyday life. You don’t have to face these challenges alone.

I provide a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, and strengths-based interventions.

As an LGPC, I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and personal growth, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

I’m passionate about helping women and people of color navigate life’s challenges while building confidence, healing, and learning to truly embrace who they are. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel comfortable showing up fully as themselves. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, bullying, relationship concerns, or workplace stress, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and understood.

My approach is warm, relatable, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space for honest conversations, personal growth, healing, and even a little laughter when needed. I enjoy helping clients work through people-pleasing, self-doubt, unhealthy relationship patterns, workplace stress, and the pressure of carrying so much on their own. Together, we’ll focus on building confidence, setting healthy boundaries, and helping you move through life with greater clarity, balance, and self-assurance.
