About Me (she/her/hers)
My name is Meghan and I view my therapy work as a collaboration, in which we work together to address your concerns and help you to thrive. I prioritize compassion and creating a safe space, with special attention to fostering comfort and support for multifaceted and intersectional identities and experiences.
I believe that each client requires a unique and individually tailored approach to therapy; therefore, I offer an integrative and eclectic framework in my psychotherapeutic interventions that allows space and support for multifaceted and intersecting mental health concerns.
As a baseline, I take a trauma-informed approach with each client; this is because traumas, larger or small, tend to intertwine with our other mental health experiences. Depending on individual concerns, I might use psychodynamic, expressive, or narrative approaches to help us both better understand how your formative or developmental experiences relate to any current mental health concerns; simultaneously, I tend to employ evidence-based, solution-focused therapies to provide a practical approach for tackling current concerns that impact your day-to-day life. Most importantly, I will work with you using interventions that best suit your needs and preferences; for example, if you are more of a writer or an artist rather than a person who processes experiences verbally, we can use therapeutic methods that highlight these tactics.
I am passionate about my therapeutic work and enjoy meeting folks wherever they are along their journey in working towards living a happy and fulfilling life.
