At Orchard Mental Health Group, we know that while the holidays can be a joyful time, they can also bring more stress, added social pressure, as well as a packed schedule. Prioritizing self-care during this season is essential to maintain your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Taking time for yourself allows you to recharge, manage stress, and be fully present for the people you care about. When you nurture your own needs, you’re better able to enjoy the holidays, stay balanced, and create meaningful, lasting memories.
Remember, self-care isn’t selfish—it’s a way to show up as your best self for others.
FEATURED CONTENT
Developing Self-Compassion
Self-compassion and mental health wellness should be synonymous with one another. Yet, it is the negative internal dialogue that is a major component of low self-worth and/or a catalyst to depressive symptoms.Â
We are often forgiving, understanding and quick to excuse both minor and major transgressions committed by others. However, we tend to be unforgiving and relentlessly critical of ourselves.
A Compassion Meditation
Sometimes, when you’re used to seeking and/or receiving compassion from others, you may find it difficult to feel compassion in times of solitude.
Julia Williams, LMSW recorded a short, 5-minute video to guide you through a compassion-focused meditation session.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS
Late Arrivals, Cancellations, No-Shows & Dismissals
While clients may cancel or reschedule an appointment at any time for any reason, we do charge a fee, which varies by appointment type, if you
cancel less than 48 business hours (excluding Fridays after 5pm ET and weekends) prior to your session OR
fail to show up to your appointment without cancellation notice.
We charge a fee because whenever a session is canceled without adequate notice, we are unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another current client, a client on the waitlist, or a client with a clinical emergency.
For more detail, please read our full Cancellation/No-Show Policy.
To cancel an appointment, please email us at appointments@
