About Me
Gideon Oberio, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults ages six and older. He specializes in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy for a wide range of mental health conditions.
Gideon takes a thoughtful, minimalistic approach to medication management, focusing on improving quality of life while supporting both mental and physical well-being. He works collaboratively with patients and families to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individualโs needs and goals.
He has experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. Gideon has worked across diverse clinical settings, including acute inpatient psychiatry, emergency departments, and outpatient mental health care, allowing him to support patients at every stage of their mental health journey.
Deeply committed to serving his community, Gideon spent ten years as a volunteer firefighter in Baltimore County. This experience strengthened his resilience, compassion, and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations, qualities that continue to shape his patient-centered approach to care.
Gideon earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University and his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. He is dedicated to helping patients and families build stability, find hope, and achieve long-term emotional wellness.
