About the Group
The Understanding Self and Others (USO) process group is an ongoing virtual therapy group designed to support personal growth through increased self-awareness and meaningful connection with others.
In this group, you’ll have the opportunity to explore how your relationship patterns show up in real time — including how you communicate, set boundaries, handle conflict, seek support, or prioritize others over yourself. These same patterns often appear in our everyday lives, which makes group therapy a uniquely powerful space for insight and change.
Through open discussions and shared reflection, you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself while receiving support through life’s inevitable challenges. With greater awareness comes choice — the ability to keep what works for you and gently shift patterns that no longer serve you.
Who We Help
This group may be a good fit if you:
- Want to better understand how you relate to others
- Notice recurring patterns in relationships that feel limiting or frustrating
- Tend to people-please, avoid conflict, or struggle to express needs
- Are navigating life transitions, stress, or relational challenges
- Want a supportive space to grow alongside others
No prior group therapy experience is required.

What to Expect
Participants in the Understanding Self and Others group can expect:
- A consistent, therapist-led group environment
- Opportunities to reflect on personal and relational patterns
- Support and feedback from both facilitators and group members
- Increased emotional insight and self-awareness
- Concrete steps toward healthier, more adaptive relationships
The goal of this group is not perfection, but growth — helping you move toward more fulfilling, connected, and authentic relationships.

Client Experiences
This is what some of our clients are saying!
From the moment I connected with Orchard Mental Health, I felt at home. Appointment setting was easy. They made me comfortable from the start. Although I haven’t met all the therapists, I can tell you the ones I know are trustworthy, smart, and can get to the heart of the problem (with solutions!) quickly. What is good to know also is that they not only provide counseling, they do testing and can manage medications if need be. Highly recommend.
