    About Lysa Kirby (she/her)

Imagine waking up every day feeling like you’re merely going through the motions of life. You drag yourself out of bed, plaster a forced smile on your face, and pretend to laugh at jokes that don’t even register. You often feel overwhelmed with negative thought patterns. Despite getting enough sleep, you never truly feel rested. You wonder if happiness is simply not meant for you. If these feelings resonate, know that you are not alone. Many people experience similar struggles, and seeking support can be the first step toward change. Connect with a therapist today to explore these feelings and begin your journey towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Lysa Kirby is a Licensed Clinician and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. Specializing in trauma-informed care, Lysa has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families heal from the deep wounds of trauma, including sexual abuse and generational trauma.

With a compassionate and empathetic approach, Lysa works with a diverse range of clients, including children, adults, and couples. She is particularly skilled in creating a safe and supportive environment for her patients, allowing them to explore their experiences and emotions without judgment. Lysa’s professional journey has been marked by her commitment to ongoing education and training in trauma-focused therapies. She is adept at using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to help patients process and recover from traumatic experiences. She believes in the power of healing and recovery and is dedicated to empowering her clients to reclaim their lives and well-being.

Outside of her clinical practice, Lysa enjoys the outdoors with her son. She has an adventuresome spirit, which is evident in her love of roller coasters, travel and thrill-seeking activities. In contrast, Lysa loves the quiet and calm of baking and painting. She believes in the power of healing and recovery and is dedicated to empowering her clients to reclaim their lives and well-being.

“There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth.” — Fred Rogers
